Job Description
Glacier Hills is a welcoming community based in Ann Arbor and a proud member of Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC), one of the nation’s largest multi-institutional Catholic health care delivery systems. With more than 40 communities across multiple states, Trinity Health Senior Communities (THSC) is known for delivering excellent care while fostering a supportive and innovative work environment designed to promote career growth. At Glacier Hills, we are deeply committed to our mission and core values, creating a culture that honors the dignity of every individual and celebrates diverse perspectives and talents. This commitment helps ensure an inclusive workplace where every colleague is valued and has the opportunity to thrive.
We are currently seeking part-time Dining Assistants/Servers to join our team. This position involves a rotating shift schedule with hours typically from 3pm to 8pm or 4pm to 8pm, providing great flexibility and work-life balance, with no late-night shifts and every other weekend off. As a Dining Assistant/Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding service to our residents and guests by serving meals that are both palatable and visually appealing. You will be responsible for setting tables properly, serving meals in the dining room, private dining areas, and delivering trays directly to residents’ rooms or apartments. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to follow both oral and written English instructions carefully.
Glacier Hills values its team members and offers a comprehensive benefits package that enhances your overall employment experience. These benefits include paid holidays, generous paid time off (PTO), and up to $4,000 annually in tuition reimbursement, supporting your continued education and professional development. Our discounts with major vendors such as AT&T, Verizon, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Quicken Loans provide additional value, along with access to low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance plans. Employees also have access to lower cost medical services when using facilities within the expansive Trinity Health network.
This role is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who have previous food service experience and enjoy contributing to the well-being of seniors in a supportive community setting. Experience working in long-term care or with the geriatric population is preferred, but not required as on-the-job training is provided. We foster a colleague-centric culture that prioritizes respect, compassion, and personal growth within the greater Trinity network. If you are ready to join a team that truly values your contributions while providing excellent opportunities and flexible, balanced work hours, Glacier Hills is an excellent place to advance your career.
