Job Requirements
- Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred
- Have 2+ years of serving or related experience in a full-service restaurant
- Have a current food handler's card and alcohol service certification as required by federal/state/local law
- Meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
- Have basic knowledge of food and beverage service/hospitality
- Have excellent customer service skills
- High school diploma or GED

Job Duties
- Take food and drink orders from members/guest accurately and with a positive attitude
- Engage with members/guest in a friendly manner
- Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Help members/guest select food and beverages by presenting menu
- offering cocktails
- suggesting courses
- explaining the chef's specialties
- identifying appropriate wines
- answering food preparation questions
- Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc
- Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed
- replenishing utensils
- refilling water glasses
- being alert to patron spills or other special needs
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
- Basic understanding of beer, wine, spirits, and sake preferred
- Where applicable, holds a state and/or local food handlers card
