The role of a part-time Server at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire, is an exciting opportunity to join Delaware North Gaming's vibrant team. As a Server, you play a crucial role in representing the restaurant and creating memorable dining experiences for guests through attentive and friendly service. The position is part-time and tipped, with a base hourly wage of $7.20, exclusive of tipping income, offering potential for additional earnings based on service quality.

Servers are responsible for greeting guests, taking and delivering food and beverage orders, including alcoholic beverages served responsibly, and ensuring that restaurant standards for cleanliness and organization are upheld. Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to provide seamless service is also a key aspect of the role. Additionally, servers are expected to perform opening and closing duties, maintain their workstations, and contribute to the overall smooth operation of the restaurant.

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • must be able to lift 35 lbs, as well as standing, walking, and bending for long periods of time, which may include walking up stairs
  • visual awareness and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cash handling and credit card processing
  • beneficial to have one year's experience as a server in a high-volume environment
  • experience with a point-of-sale system in a service or hospitality environment
  • no high school diploma or GED required

Job Duties

  • Greet and attend to guests' needs, provide menus and clearly communicate restaurant specials, answer menu questions, and collect food and beverage orders
  • serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
  • accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale system and process payments, as well as prepare and deliver checks to guests
  • collaborate with other restaurant servers, kitchen, and bar staff
  • perform opening, closing, cleaning, and side work duties, as assigned, and ensure all equipment and workspaces are clean, sanitized, organized, and functioning
