Responsibilities include setting tables according to the type of event and upholding the hotel's service standards, ensuring that guests' dining experiences are flawless. Communication is key, as the server must coordinate with kitchen staff about menu inquiries, wait times, availability, and any special dietary requests or allergies to guarantee guest satisfaction and safety. Utilizing the MICROS point-of-sale system to record transactions accurately is also a fundamental part of the daily duties.

The candidate will be the face of The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe for many guests, tasked with warmly welcoming all visitors, anticipating their needs, and ensuring that each guest’s expectations are met or exceeded. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including dishware and glassware, is essential to uphold the high standards of the hotel. Closing duties will involve restocking, securing the service area, and complying with all safety and security protocols as outlined by company policies.
The successful individual must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
