Job Description

Currently, Friendship Village is hiring a part-time Food Server for their Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility. The position requires availability from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on every other weekend. This role is crucial as it directly impacts the dining experience of the residents, who expect attentive, friendly, and efficient service.

The Food Server serves as the primary point of contact for residents in the dining room, greeting them warmly and taking their food and beverage orders. Responsibilities include coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared accurately and delivered promptly. The Food Server must ensure that each resident has everything needed to enjoy their meal comfortably and safely. This includes answering menu questions, addressing special requests, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in table service in a fine dining, hotel, or restaurant setting preferred
  • Ability to interpret and explain menu items
  • Strong interpersonal skills including courtesy, tact, and graciousness
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Ability to perform basic math and follow oral or written instructions
  • Attention to cleanliness and safety
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred
