Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year experience in bar, lounge, or full service restaurant
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to lift, push, carry, or pull up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, reach, and perform other physical activities required by job
- Must maintain clean and professional appearance
- Must obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
- Ability to handle working in various environments including noisy, smoky, humid, and temperature changing conditions
- Capable of completing tasks with interruptions and following supervisor instructions
- Ability to learn job duties in a reasonable timeframe.
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a bar, lounge, or full service restaurant
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math
- Strong interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships
- Full knowledge of Martorano's rules, policies, and procedures
- Positive and fun disposition at work
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
- Ability to work flexible shifts including holidays
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licensing

- Ability to work amicably with co-workers and follow instructions.
Job Duties
- Assist in setting up mis-en-place
- Help servers organize necessary equipment such as wine buckets, flatware, and condiments
- Ensure tables are properly maintained at all times
- Monitor progress of tables in the dining room
- Assist in delivering food and beverages to correct tables timely and accurately using seat position numbers
- Serve water and beverage refills as needed or directed
- Respond to guest inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Address guest requests promptly or contact appropriate server if unable to satisfy
- Ensure food is garnished correctly and has proper condiments
- Provide quality service maintaining standards for timely food and beverage delivery
- Follow Martorano's hospitality standards by greeting guests warmly and making eye contact
- Clear courses appropriately and replenish bread
- Clear table of unnecessary items upon meal completion
- Crumb tables after clearing plates as needed
- Polish glassware, silverware, and plates throughout shift
- Maintain uniform and appearance per dress code standards
- Perform all other assigned duties.
