Job Requirements

  • Passion for the People, Place and Culture of our community
  • Minimum of one year experience as a restaurant server in either a free-standing or hotel restaurant
  • Valid WA Food Worker Card and Mandatory Alcohol Server Training Permit
  • Ability to meet local age requirements in order to serve alcohol
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, weekends and holidays
  • Fluency in English, verbal and written
  • Ability to continuously stand and/or walk for most of a shift including negotiating wet tile floors and steps
  • Fine motor coordination for pouring beverages, decorating cocktails and folding napkins
  • Ability to roll and/or carry tables and chairs when needed
  • Ability to lift and/or carry 30 lb. trays, crates or boxes
  • Ability to carry over shoulder occasionally
  • Utilize hand and elbow movements for polishing glassware, silverware, setting tables, shaking, pouring and mixing drinks
  • Excellent sight and balance for negotiating varied floor surfaces
  • Ability to handle lighted candles and hot fluids such as coffee and tea

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Uphold and model the company’s principles of People, Place and Character, driving collaboration, intuition and translocal hospitality
  • Assist in all aspects of a guest’s experience from beginning to end by extending a friendly greeting in an inviting environment, ensuring proper steps of service to create exceptional guest experiences
  • Participating in daily lineups and staff meetings to develop ideas and objectives, provide constructive feedback and strategize improvements
  • Maintain working knowledge of the menus, ingredients, and availability, serve alcohol safely and legally, and accurately handle all monetary transactions
  • Serve food and beverage items based on each guest’s specific requests, respecting health and safety procedures
  • Ensure workstations are clean and organized with respect for guests, peers and equipment
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and responsiveness to guest requests
  • Exhibit understanding of culinary and beverage terms to enhance the dining experience
  • Observe facility conditions and communicate any issues to the food and beverage leadership team
  • Assist in other food and beverage department areas as needed
