Job Description

Rusty Bucket Restaurant and Tavern is a well-established neighborhood tavern known for its fun, fast, and friendly atmosphere. With more than 60 restaurant locations, Rusty Bucket is committed to offering an inclusive and creative dining experience that values associates and guests alike. We are currently seeking a dedicated Server to join our team. This role is critical in creating "raving fans" of our guests, associates, purveyors, and partners by delivering exceptional hospitality service. Our servers are expected to have thorough product knowledge including food, wine, and liquor, and must be proficient in all service procedures. The ideal candidate brings a genuine approach to hospitality, exhibiting a 'Yes is the Answer!' mentality alongside a positive, team-oriented attitude. At Rusty Bucket, we highly encourage personal growth and development, with 80 percent of all positions filled through internal promotions. Our servers not only contribute to the satisfaction of our guests but also help foster a supportive, family-like environment throughout our restaurants.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality service preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude and customer service orientation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Must be punctual and reliable

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service is an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of food, wine, and liquor products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive approach to hospitality
  • Ability to handle guest complaints professionally and effectively

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time as scheduled
  • Maintain uniform and personal hygiene according to restaurant standards
  • Exemplify hospitality standards including answering guests' questions and handling requests and complaints with priority on guest satisfaction
  • Cooperate with management and co-workers by assisting others when needed
  • Communicate suggestions for improvement positively
  • Follow all national, state, and local safety, health, and sanitation guidelines
  • Know and follow emergency procedures as outlined by the restaurant
  • Perform all duties according to the associate handbook standards and procedures
