The Restaurant Server role at Sonesta International Hotels plays a vital part in supporting the overall success of the hotel by ensuring high levels of quality and service in various foodservice venues within the property. This role requires dedication to maintaining superior service standards while contributing positively to the guest experience. The server is responsible for setting up food and beverage areas, servicing guests promptly and professionally, and ensuring proper breakdown and cleanliness after service. Operational duties also include managing transactions according to the hotel's cash and charge procedures and maintaining communication with outlet management regarding any service or safety issues.
This position features a day shift beginning at 6 AM and ending at 12 PM. It requires a candidate to have prior restaurant table-service experience within a hotel environment. The ability to serve alcohol responsibly is a must, and therefore candidates must be at least 18 years old. Besides technical competence, Sonesta values a fun and personable personality combined with efficiency and professional manners. The Restaurant Server is expected to greet guests warmly, take their orders promptly, and ensure food and beverage presentations meet established health and quality standards.
