The Hilton Garden Inn Allentown West seeks a dedicated Server to join its team, playing a key role in delivering outstanding food and beverage service to guests. This position demands a prompt, friendly, and accurate approach to service, ensuring an inviting and delightful dining experience. The Server is responsible for taking food and beverage orders correctly, ensuring timely delivery of hot and freshly prepared items from the kitchen to the tables, and handling guest payments efficiently with precision. Additionally, the Server prepares specialty drinks such as coffee and other beverages, maintains clean and orderly dining spaces by clearing and resetting tables as needed, and provides attentive guest service by responding promptly to all diner requests.

Beyond the core service tasks, the role requires familiarity with the menu offerings, including current food and beverage items, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation policies such as product rotation, proper labeling, and cleanliness standards. The Server also supports the overall cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment and demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of hotel amenities, hours of operation, and events to better assist guests. This full-time role involves flexible scheduling, including availability on days, nights, weekends, and holidays according to hotel demands.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet guests with hospitality while performing cleaning duties
  • Complete operational checklists accurately and on time each shift
  • Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear clean, approved uniform with nametag and maintain a well-groomed appearance
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to exceed traditional roles
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive guest and workplace environment
  • Take food and beverage orders promptly and accurately
  • Deliver hot food items promptly from kitchen to tables
  • Accurately enter orders into POS system and secure timely payment
  • Prepare coffee and other specialty drinks as needed
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables for dining
  • Observe and respond quickly to guest requests
  • Complete daily inventory prep and side work compliant with labor rules
  • Stay knowledgeable of current food and beverage menu offerings
  • Escort guests to tables as required
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling policies including product rotation, dating, labeling, and cleaning
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of restaurant and surrounding areas
  • Demonstrate comprehensive hotel knowledge including hours and amenities
