Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Food Handlers' Certification
  • Minimum one year experience as a server in a fine dining environment
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary language used in the workplace
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computational ability
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Knowledge of table settings and service ware
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items and service
  • Ability to use suggestive selling techniques
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and order in dining areas

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handlers' Certification
  • High school graduate
  • Some college preferred
  • At least one year of experience as a server in a fine dining environment
  • Prior club experience preferred
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Basic computational ability
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • Knowledge of food and beverage items including preparation and ingredients
  • Ability to describe menu items, prices, and preparation methods
  • Ability to use suggestive selling techniques

Job Duties

  • Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests using suggestive selling techniques as appropriate
  • Clear tables during service
  • Control guest checks and secure proper payment and signature
  • Ensure station and table set-ups are complete
  • Perform various side duties as assigned for both dining room and private events
  • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas
  • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of service stations and servicing equipment
