Job Description
Surety Hotel is a distinguished hospitality establishment managed by Aparium Hotel Group, a company with a rich heritage dating back to its founding in 2011. Aparium Hotel Group has carved out a unique niche in the hotel industry by merging the large-scale operational expertise typical of substantial hospitality companies with the intimate and distinctive charm that boutique hotels offer. This blend creates an exceptional guest experience characterized by personalized service and a strong sense of place. Surety Hotel, reflecting these values, operates with a philosophy that prioritizes translocal hospitality, community, and collaboration within its team and with its guests. Located in a vibrant market, Surety Hotel is designed to appeal to discerning travelers who seek a sophisticated yet welcoming environment. This commitment to excellence is evident not only in the physical aspects of the hotel but also in the quality of its food and beverage services and the professionalism of its staff.
The role of Server at Mulberry Street Tavern, reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager, is an essential component of Surety Hotel’s food and beverage operation. This position is classified as non-exempt, requiring flexible availability including days, nights, and brunch shifts. The Server plays a pivotal role in the guest experience, acting not just as an order taker but as an ambassador of the hotel’s brand and hospitality ethos. The Server must possess a deep understanding of service techniques, a natural ability to manage time efficiently, and a detailed knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, potential allergens, and daily availability. In addition to pleasant and prompt food and beverage delivery, this role demands ongoing beverage education, including beer, wine, and spirits, to enhance guest interactions and service quality. As a member of the food and beverage team, the Server collaborates closely with bartenders, cooks, dishwashers, and chefs, emphasizing a culture of humility, open-mindedness, and teamwork. Servers must arrive polished, mentally prepared, and ready to contribute actively to a positive work atmosphere where they support their colleagues and uphold the hotel’s standards for excellence. Ultimately, the Server’s mission is to create memorable experiences that delight guests and reflect Surety Hotel’s commitment to exceptional hospitality.
