The facility is committed to fostering a welcoming and respectful atmosphere where residents, families, and guests feel valued and cared for. Operating under principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion, Springhouse maintains a drug-free workplace and ensures equal opportunity employment. The community employs highly trained staff to meet the individualized needs of each resident, supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being with dignity and respect.
The role of a Server at Springhouse is instrumental in enriching the dining experience of residents and guests. The Server plays a crucial part in creating a warm and enjoyable dining atmosphere, contributing to the overall satisfaction and comfort of everyone in the dining areas. This position not only involves food service but also requires interaction with an elderly population, some of whom may have dementia, requiring understanding and specialized communication skills. Springhouse values its employees and provides amazing benefits such as daily access to pay with ZayZoon, uniforms, employee discounts, appreciation events, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), holiday worked premium pay, and more, especially for PRN (as needed) staff. Education requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to candidates experienced in food service and elder care settings. Certification in Food Service Sanitation according to State or Local requirements is also mandatory. Physical demands of the role include the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat for extended periods, and handle lifting, pushing, or pulling items up to 50 pounds. This is a position ideally suited for compassionate, reliable individuals who have a passion for service and elder care and who desire to contribute positively to the quality of life of seniors in a professional and respectful environment.
