The role of Server at Ellore Senior Living is vital in upholding the community’s reputation for outstanding service. This part-time position requires availability on weekends, offering hourly pay between $18.67 and $21.50 depending on experience. As a Server, you will be responsible for delivering food and beverages in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Your duties will involve taking accurate food and beverage orders from residents, family members, and visitors, entering them precisely into the point of sale system, and setting up and breaking down tables as needed. Maintaining proper serving etiquette, including serving from the left and clearing used dishes between courses, is essential. In addition, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment by adhering to established safety standards. Teamwork is emphasized within this role, promoting cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments to ensure a seamless dining experience for all. This position is perfect for individuals who possess excellent customer service skills and a strong desire to work with the elderly, demonstrating care for their needs in a respectful and dignified manner. While experience in serving is preferred, the company is committed to training the right candidate. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, supervisors, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families. The role also requires successful completion of a criminal background check and health screenings, which include physical and TB tests. To protect the health and safety of team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may enforce vaccination, daily health screenings, surveillance testing, and the use of personal protective equipment in accordance with regulatory guidelines related to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases.

Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a valid work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Willingness to work weekends and part-time hours
  • Ability to work cooperatively and as part of a team
  • Must pass a criminal background check and health screening including physical and TB tests
  • Ability to adhere to company safety and hygiene standards including COVID-19 protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families

Job Duties

  • Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner
  • Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests' food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer)
  • Set up and break down (bus) tables
  • Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses, etc.)
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
