The role of a Food Server at Hilton is pivotal in delivering the memorable dining experiences that guests expect from the brand. As a Food Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent food and beverage service to guests, ensuring their satisfaction throughout their meal service. This role involves more than just taking and delivering orders; it requires a friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable approach to hospitality that enhances the overall guest experience. You will need to be well-versed in the menu, including current promotions and specials, and adept at using the restaurant’s point-of-sale system to input orders accurately.

Your responsibilities also include timely response to guest requests, ensuring the serving station is well-stocked, and following all regulations related to serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. This position requires a strong customer focus, dependability, and the ability to adapt to the fast-paced hotel environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Prior experience in customer service or food service preferred
  • Knowledge of basic math and POS systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Adherence to all federal, state and local regulations regarding food and beverage service

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
  • Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
  • Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
  • Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
