Job Description

RiverWoods Group is Northern New England's largest family of Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs) committed to providing community and peace of mind to its residents. Established in 1994, RiverWoods has built a reputation for honoring its founding premise: making life better every day for those who live, work, and serve within its communities. It operates three vibrant communities unified by one philosophy focused on enhancing the quality of life for older adults. The organization believes that growing older should enhance, not diminish, the opportunity for a productive and rewarding life, which shapes all aspects of its service and care approach.

RiverWoods offers a welcoming, supportive, and enriching environment designed to foster meaningful connections among residents and employees alike. By joining RiverWoods, individuals become part of a team dedicated to continuous improvement and compassionate service, embracing a culture of respect, inclusivity, and shared purpose. Employees have the opportunity to thrive in a beautiful, bright, and attractive community setting while building a long-term career that matters.

The Part Time Server role at RiverWoods is integral to providing excellent customer service to its residents. The position involves working with a creative and talented culinary services team to deliver a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate will work various shifts, including days to cover lunch, dinner, and potentially weekend shifts encompassing breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This role offers candidates the chance to support residents in a meaningful way by offering attentive service during meal times at the Bistro or in fine dining settings within the community.

The server is responsible for taking meal orders using tablet-based software, assisting with packaging to-go meals, setting and clearing tables, performing opening and closing side work, and maintaining close communication with Dining Room Managers and Hosts to ensure a smooth and satisfying dining experience for residents. This role offers competitive pay starting at $16.50 per hour or more depending on experience, with additional benefits including earned time off, paid holidays, personal days, wellness programs, education assistance, and employee meal programs. With a partnership with DailyPay, employees can also enjoy the advantage of getting paid daily.

This position is suitable for individuals who are at least 16 years old, motivated to provide exceptional customer service, capable of working flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. No prior experience is required, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter the hospitality or culinary service industry. RiverWoods encourages applicants seeking meaning, purpose, and a career path with future growth potential in a setting that values community and well-being. The company supports applicants with assistance during the application process and champions an inclusive hiring practice that does not require a resume to apply.
