The Server position at Oakmont of Lodi plays a crucial role in enhancing the dining experience for residents, their families, and guests. Servers are responsible for delivering food in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner, ensuring that all dining interactions are conducted with professionalism and respect. This role supports the community's mission by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a safe and welcoming dining environment. The Server's duties include taking accurate food and beverage orders using a Point of Sale (POS) system, setting up and breaking down tables, following proper serving etiquette, and fostering teamwork through cooperative interactions with colleagues.

Compensation for the Server position ranges from $16.90 to $17.25 per hour, with shifts available in the mornings and evenings on various days. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with seniors and dedicated to contributing to a supportive community environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass criminal background check and health screenings including physical and TB tests
  • Willingness to follow health and safety protocols related to COVID-19
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work various AM and PM shifts
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to senior residents

Job Qualifications

  • Experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
  • Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
  • Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
  • Willingness to comply with COVID-19 safety protocols, including vaccination and use of PPE as required

Job Duties

  • Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner
  • Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS (point of sale computer)
  • Set up and break down (bus) tables
  • Assure compliance with all proper serving techniques/etiquette (e.g. serving from left, clearing used dishes between courses)
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards
  • Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments
