Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- current Food Handler's card or ability to obtain one upon hire
- ability to work in a fast-paced and team-based environment
- strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food sanitation standards
- ability to multitask and problem solve when necessary
- good verbal and written communication skills
- ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and 20-30 lbs repetitively
- must pass a drug test and criminal background check
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- associate degree or certification in culinary arts preferred
- current Food Handler's card or ability to obtain one upon hire
- current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire
- strong knowledge of local, state, and federal food sanitation standards
- proven customer service skills
- able to work in a fast-paced and team-based environment
- ability to multitask and problem solve when necessary
- experience working with diverse populations, including aging, minority, and low-income populations
- good verbal and written communication skills
- proven recordkeeping and organizational skills
- ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and 20-30 lbs repetitively
- passion for serving seniors in our community
Job Duties
- take orders, prepare, pick up, and serve food from the kitchen
- ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, and food regulations following health department standards and Food Service Manual
- prepare tables for opening and maintain side work before, during, and after service
- attend to customers upon entrance and leaving the Diner
- present menus and help customers select food/beverages
- collaborate with other diner servers, bussers, hosts, and kitchen staff
- respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
