Job Requirements

Prior experience as a server wait staff or in a kitchen is preferred
Strong English communication skills for interaction with residents and colleagues
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information about residents and community operations
Willingness to work scheduled hours based on personnel and community needs

Job Duties

Greet diners and take orders from residents
Serve meals to residents ensuring food is fresh and at the correct temperature
Encourage healthful choices and compliance with dietary restrictions
Clear dishes as residents finish eating
Scrape stack and/or soak dirty dishes as directed
Clean tables at the end of the meal and set tables for the next meal
Help prepare deliver and retrieve resident food trays as directed
Dish up food and assist in food preparation as directed by the Cook
Re-stock condiments snacks and supplies in the dining room and kitchen as assigned
Provide follow-up service for condiments second helpings and desserts
Assist in record keeping as assigned
Empty trash and dispose of recyclables in assigned areas
Vacuum carpet and clean floors in the dining room as scheduled
Notify the Chef of needed supplies and equipment malfunctions
Help maintain a clean orderly and safe kitchen environment
Store food properly for infection control
