Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six months from the start date
  • must be twenty-one years of age or older
  • one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • or six months experience within the Beverage Department at WCH required
  • willingness and ability to lift and maneuver a minimum of fifty pounds
  • demonstrated ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
  • must successfully pass a job interview including a guest service audition
  • must successfully complete Responsible Vendor Alcoholic Beverage Service and BASSET training
  • must complete ServeSafe Sanitation training
  • minimum bartending skills
  • willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • must have an Occupational License or the ability to obtain and maintain a license pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board

Job Qualifications

  • willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Report to the station as scheduled in proper uniform and ready to work
  • complete all side work as directed by the supervisor
  • greet guests in a friendly professional manner
  • take orders from guests and servers
  • maintain complete knowledge of all menu items as well as some beer and wine knowledge
  • inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned stations and associated public space and rectify any deficiencies
  • continuously maintain cleanliness and organization of bars, bottle displays, coolers, and station equipment
  • other duties and responsibilities as assigned
