The Seasonal Server role at Copperleaf Restaurant within Cedarbrook Lodge is an excellent opportunity for hospitality professionals eager to join a values-driven team with a people-first philosophy. This seasonal position, timed with the busy summer season, involves creating unmatched guest experiences through engaging interactions, deep menu knowledge, and attentive service. The server is a vital link in ensuring guests enjoy a memorable dining experience from the moment they are greeted, through food and beverage selection, to post-meal satisfaction. Responsibilities include upselling and confidently describing menu offerings, accurately taking and processing orders, ensuring food and beverage are presented beautifully and served at optimal temperatures, handling payments with proper accounting procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized dining environment.

Compensation starts at $20.74 per hour depending on experience, plus tips, with eligibility for an extensive range of perks and benefits. Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
  • Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
  • Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
  • Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
  • Necessary State Food Handler's License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
  • Basic knowledge of wine and spirits

Job Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming experience for new and returning guests
  • Describe and upsell food and beverage offerings with confidence and enthusiasm
  • Take orders accurately and serve food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
  • Enter orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicate any special requests to the culinary team
  • Ensure attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages
  • ensure all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
  • Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings including menu changes and sold-out items
  • Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
  • Keep work area including guest dining area clean and organized
