This Server Cashier role at Farmer Boys is a non-exempt position, available for either full-time or part-time employment, reporting directly to the General Manager and falling under the Front of the House operations department. The core responsibility of the Server Cashier is to serve guests promptly and efficiently while fostering a friendly and inviting environment. The employee will handle both in-person and drive-thru orders, ensuring the accuracy and quality of every order delivered. Job Requirements

  • minimum age of 16 years
  • ability to stand for up to 4 hours at a time
  • ability to walk, bend, and stoop while serving and stocking
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • exposure to fumes from solvents and industrial degreasers during cleaning
  • ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • availability to work full or part-time shifts as scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or g.e.d. preferred
  • 0-3 years of experience as a server, cashier, line cook, prep cook, or in customer service
  • ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • ability to speak, understand, read, write, and take direction in English
  • must have or obtain state or county mandated food handler card in allotted time
  • understands the importance of quality guest service
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • provides excellent customer service before, during, and after taking orders
  • greets guests upon arrival, makes eye contact, and thanks guests when leaving
  • maintains a clean dining room, patio, parking lot, etc., in compliance with company standards
  • successfully works the drive-thru window and handles phone orders as assigned
  • properly packages, checks, and delivers accurate orders to guests
  • ensures accuracy of all orders including dine-in, to-go, and drive-thru
  • maintains stock and cleanliness of required work areas
  • follows the work schedule as posted unless changed with management approval
  • accepts and accurately processes payments using the cash register system
  • ensures all sales are processed according to policy
  • informs management of sales, cash, or operational discrepancies
  • follows policy concerning cash drawer limits and verification
  • protects product critical control points and food safety standards
  • immediately notifies management of any food safety risks
  • attends and implements food safety training
  • adheres to food safety procedures
  • reports guest accidents or injuries to management
  • practices safe work habits and reports unsafe conditions
  • reads and follows Safety Data Sheets instructions
