Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for 4 hours or more with high energy
  • Ability to lift 15-30 pounds and move between dining room and kitchen quickly
  • Ability to think and communicate clearly under pressure
  • Ability to move quickly and gracefully in the dining room
  • Ability to maintain a sincere, positive, pleasant and enthusiastic attitude
  • Ability to follow federal, state, local and company regulations regarding beverage service
  • Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Qualifications

  • Previous bartending, serving and/or customer service experience
  • Knowledgeable of menu items, ingredients, cooking techniques, drink recipes and pricing
  • Ability to make food and beverage pairing recommendations confidently
  • Ability to execute professional wine service
  • Strong verbal, reading and writing communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Knowledgeable of computer operations and POS systems
  • Understanding of basic sanitation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and supervisors
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality

Job Duties

  • Greets guests within 1 minute of being seated
  • Leads guests through all aspects of the dining experience
  • Provides gracious and professional food and beverage service in an efficient manner
  • Answers questions, suggestively sells, and creates an upbeat atmosphere for guests
  • Knowledgeable of the menu, brands, prices, options, promotions and specials
  • Takes guest beverage and/or food orders and inputs orders accurately in the point-of-sale system
  • Communicates all allergy and dietary restriction information clearly on tickets
  • Retrieves and delivers food and beverage orders in a timely manner
  • Replenishes beverages and ensures guest satisfaction throughout meal service
  • Serves alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with regulations
  • Clears plates at appropriate times and asks for help when needed
  • Crumbs tables appropriately during meals
  • Maintains well-stocked serving stations
  • Presents the check and handles all transactions accurately
  • Keeps table areas and bar clean, orderly and properly stocked
  • Gives every table a sincere thank you and farewell
  • Responds graciously to guest service issues and reports to management
  • Maintains professional conduct and positive attitude
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by management
