The Server role at Century Park Associates offers a unique opportunity to be part of this dedicated team that delivers restaurant-style dining services focused on hospitality and resident satisfaction. This is a part-time or full-time position starting at $16 per hour, with availability required during weekends and evenings to accommodate the needs of their residents. Reporting to the Dining Services Director or Dining Room Supervisor, the Server contributes significantly to the quality dining experience by adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. A Lead Server role exists within this position, responsible for training and guiding new servers to maintain consistent service standards.
The Server’s duties are varied and vital, including assisting with setting up the dining room, performing cleaning and prep work, and providing timely, courteous service to residents and visitors. The Server ensures that meals are served with the appropriate techniques, beverages are regularly refilled, and dining areas are always clean, safe, and welcoming. The role demands a person who enjoys serving seniors, can demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality, and maintain positive relations with residents and guests. Integrity, trustworthiness, dependability, and professionalism are critical attributes expected from every team member. Additionally, the Server must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision, manage complaints graciously, and maintain proper attire and grooming standards.

Job Requirements
- Must be available for weekends and evenings
- Must enjoy serving seniors
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service and hospitality
- Must maintain positive resident and guest relations through courteous, cooperative and understanding manner
- Must demonstrate trustworthiness and dependability
- Must reasonably accommodate resident preferences in dining services
- Must work efficiently and effectively with little to no supervision
- Must be able to receive and resolve complaints graciously
- Must always be in proper attire and well groomed
- Must attend company appointed ServSafe class
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park's Code of Ethics and completes all required compliance training
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior healthcare experience preferred
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and hospitality
- Ability to maintain positive resident and guest relations
- Trustworthiness and dependability
- Ability to work efficiently with little to no supervision
- Ability to receive and resolve complaints graciously
- Proper attire and grooming
- Completion of company appointed ServSafe class
- Adherence to Century Park's Code of Ethics and compliance training
Job Duties
- Trains and guides new servers according to Century Park standards
- Assists with meal counts and tickets
- Assists and ensures dining room set up
- Assists with dish room tasks
- Attends pre meal menu review meeting
- Performs duties at assigned station such as beverages and salad bar
- Performs and ensures completion of assigned cleaning and prep work duties
- Greets residents and visitors in a welcoming manner
- Assists residents with food selection
- Checks for beverage refills timely
- Serves residents timely and with appropriate serving techniques
- Serves meals using trays
- Strips and resets tables as needed
- Removes dishes throughout meal service and delivers to dishwashing area
- Removes soiled linens and places in designated laundry areas
- Prepares tables for next meal
- Removes trash and keeps dining room clean and free of safety hazards
- Prepares for next meal by cleaning tables, wiping chairs, filling condiment containers, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning equipment
