The In-Room Dining Server role is essential to delivering an impeccable guest experience at Pebble Beach Resorts. This position involves providing timely and courteous food and beverage service directly to hotel guests in their rooms and to residents. The server must skillfully assemble entrees, beverages, condiments, and other essentials on serving carts while minimizing spillage, ensuring an elegant presentation that reflects the high standards of Pebble Beach Company. Responsibilities include delivering orders efficiently using trays, push carts, or electric vehicles, handling guest requests for amenities such as ice or beverage service, and maintaining cleanliness and order in both guest rooms and service areas. The role also requires assisting guests with coffee pouring and wine uncorking, answering telephones to record orders, and complying with health and safety policies.
Applicants should possess excellent customer service skills, demonstrate the ability to carry trays and maneuver carts across uneven terrain without spilling contents, and communicate clearly and politely. Candidates must hold food safety and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications, with bartending duties restricted to individuals 21 years or older. Job Duties
- assemble entree, beverage, condiments, glassware, silverware on cart to minimize spilling and shifting
- perform all side work duties as assigned on daily side work form
- carry orders on trays, push carts or drive EZ-Go carts in order to deliver food quickly
- prepare and deliver amenities daily
- deliver ice to guest rooms upon request
- set-up and clean-up after hospitality functions and bars in guest rooms as needed
- assist guest with pouring coffee and uncorking wine
- pick-up dirty dishes from the guest room
- remove dirty dishes from tray and bus used items in kitchen
- maintain a clean and organized work environment
- know the location of all rooms and town houses, as well as the best route for deliveries
- report any problems to management, to ensure guest satisfaction and the protection of company property
- answer telephone and record food and beverage orders
- knows models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards)
- comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures
