We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server at IHOP, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. This position involves welcoming guests with a friendly attitude, efficiently taking and processing orders, serving food and beverages according to our high standards, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction throughout their visit. You will be the face of IHOP, responsible for creating a positive atmosphere that invites guests to return. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for hospitality. Your duties will also include collaborating with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operation, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, handling transactions accurately, and adhering to safety and health regulations. Job Qualifications

  • Previous experiences as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and positive attitude
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments
  • must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain any required permits or certifications
  • ability to stand walk and carry food trays for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guest as they arrive providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
  • present menus make recommendations and answer questions about menu items specials and dietary restrictions
  • accurately take and process customer orders using our point-of-sale (POS) system
  • serve food and beverages promptly ensuring that plates are prepared and garnished according to IHOP standards
  • check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area including tables chairs and service stations
  • collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
  • handle cash and credit card transactions processing payments according to company policies
  • follow all safety sanitation and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in the food service industry
