The Server position at IHOP offers a dynamic role where you will be central to creating memorable experiences for guests. In this role, you will greet and welcome guests with a friendly approach, guide them through the menu, take accurate orders using a point-of-sale system, and ensure their dining satisfaction throughout their visit. You will collaborate closely with kitchen staff and management to maintain smooth service flow and clean dining environments consistent with IHOP’s high standards.   • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to stand walk and carry food trays for extended periods
  • Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and processing payments
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in a customer service role preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive providing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
  • Present menus make recommendations and answer questions about menu items specials and dietary restrictions
  • Accurately take and process customer orders using the point-of-sale system
  • Serve food and beverages promptly ensuring that plates are prepared and garnished according to IHOP standards
  • Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any issues promptly
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area including tables chairs and service stations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions processing payments according to company policies
  • Follow all safety sanitation and health regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the food service industry
