Job Description

Spare Time Entertainment is a renowned company specializing in providing engaging and enjoyable recreational experiences through its entertainment centers which feature activities such as bowling, arcade games, dining, and party hosting services. As a leader in the entertainment and hospitality industry, Spare Time Entertainment prides itself on creating a fun, safe, and memorable environment for guests of all ages. Their locations often serve as community hubs where families and groups of friends come together to enjoy leisure activities and quality time. With a focus on customer satisfaction, the company invests heavily in training and maintaining high service standards to ensure every guest leaves with a positive experience.

The role of a Waitstaff at Spare Time Entertainment is integral to maintaining the excellent service quality that the company is known for. This position is typically part-time or full-time, with the possibility for evening and weekend shifts given the nature of the entertainment centers' operations. The Waitstaff will be responsible for delivering friendly and professional service by adhering to Spare Time Service Standards, also known as Code S.E.R.V.E., which emphasizes respectful and efficient guest interactions. This role requires a detailed understanding of the menu to make informed and persuasive suggestions to guests, actively promoting the venue’s features and upcoming events to enhance their visit.

The Waitstaff's duties extend beyond serving food and beverages; they are expected to monitor and enforce responsible alcohol consumption policies in line with state laws and company guidelines. This ensures a safe environment for all patrons. Additionally, the Waitstaff supports operational efficiency by assisting with food preparation when needed, maintaining clean and organized dining areas, and managing point-of-sale transactions accurately. They are also responsible for complying with all food safety and quality regulations, which includes participating in waste control efforts and keeping equipment and workspaces compliant with local, state, and federal health codes.

The company values employees who demonstrate reliability and a proactive attitude, including completing shift opening and closing tasks, monitoring inventory levels, and reporting any violations or issues to management. Training and maintaining required certifications such as SERVSafe or TIPS are essential components of this role. The environment can be dynamic and occasionally challenging due to noise levels, lighting effects, and the presence of large crowds including children. Physical demands require the ability to stand and walk for extended periods as well as lift weights up to 50 pounds. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a lively atmosphere, interacting with diverse guests, and contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Overall, the Waitstaff role at Spare Time Entertainment offers an exciting opportunity for hospitality professionals to develop their skills in a vibrant recreational setting, where exceptional service and guest satisfaction are top priorities.
