The Server role at Razzoo's Cajun Cafe is an essential position responsible for delivering outstanding guest service in a timely and friendly manner. Servers play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of dining services by greeting guests, taking and delivering food and drink orders, and managing guest relations throughout the dining experience. This role requires knowledge of menu items, ability to make recommendations, and strict adherence to alcohol service regulations. Candidates will need to manage multiple tasks efficiently, including order accuracy, guest interaction, drink refills, and side-work duties such as cleaning and stocking. The position demands physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry items throughout the shift, as well as strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a server or customer service role preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for cash handling
Familiarity with health and safety standards
Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move quickly
Compliance with ABC alcohol service regulations
Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
Attention to detail and accuracy
Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of food and beverage menu items including alcoholic beverages
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members

Basic math skills for handling payments and cash reconciliation
Familiarity with health and safety standards
Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Physical ability to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs
Understanding of ABC alcohol service regulations
Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Job Duties

Serve food and drinks including alcoholic beverages to guests in a friendly and timely manner
Greet guests and deliver hospitality to every guest
Back up host team and offer assistance with menu including explaining menu items
Suggest food and drink items to guests
Defer guest questions regarding allergies to the Manager on Duty
Conduct age verification for alcohol service following ABC requirements and company procedures at all times
Manage guest liquor consumption effectively and in accordance with ABC requirements and Razzoo's Liquor Service Agreement
Write down and repeat all orders
Ring in orders correctly
Expedite and garnish food orders as necessary
Auction off food at delivery and offer drink refills
Continuously pre-bus and handle ongoing drink maintenance
Deliver check after table is clear or upon request
Run food and take check when guest is ready
Thank and invite guest to return
Collect payment for all purchases following appropriate company procedures
Reconcile cash out and account for all monies owed at end of each shift
Know liquor brands basic liquor drinks and Razzoo's specialty drinks
Perform opening running and closing side-work duties such as rolling silverware, cleaning trays, cleaning tables, sweeping station, and stocking beverage stations
Alert appropriate personnel to immediately empty trash cans after broken glass disposal
Wash and sanitize hands after removing trash, eating and drinking, using bathroom, touching face or hair, or handling food prep
Maintain a clean and safe environment reporting unsafe procedures or conditions to management
Participate in executing birthday celebrations
Comply with all federal, state and local statutes and Razzoo's policies and procedures
Perform additional responsibilities as requested by a manager
Meet physical demands including bending, stooping, lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs, moving quickly in kitchen areas, standing and walking during entire shift, entering and exiting kitchen with full hands, climbing ladder to reach items on upper shelves
Hear with accuracy over loud noise
Have 20/20 near vision with correction
Demonstrate manual dexterity.
