The server position at MH Restaurants is integral to ensuring an outstanding guest dining experience. Servers act as the primary point of contact between the guests and the kitchen, bridging communication and delivering attentive, friendly service. The role demands a high level of customer interaction combined with efficient handling of food and beverage orders. Servers are expected to know the menu thoroughly, including specials and any variations, and to assist diners by recommending dishes and drinks that suit their tastes. In addition to providing excellent service, servers perform preparatory tasks such as setting tables and replenishing condiments. Accuracy in order taking and attention to detail help maintain smooth operations and contribute to a seamless dining journey. The position requires the ability to handle payments and operate point-of-sale systems, along with other administrative duties like managing table bookings and assisting during special events. Job Duties

Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items
handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific and accurate customer needs to the cooks
prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing other various preparation tasks
prepare drinks for service to your customers table
obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change
filling in for absent staff as needed
assisting with special events as needed
greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting
adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
understands and can communicate products and services available at the restaurant
must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills
follow all policies and procedures of MH Restaurants
attend all mandatory meetings as directed
perform other tasks, including cross-training as directed
maintain dress code and uniform standard
