Job Description

Marriott International is a world-renowned leader in the hospitality industry, recognized for its commitment to excellence and exceptional guest experiences. Operating a diverse portfolio of hotels and resorts worldwide, Marriott offers guests unique stays, luxurious amenities, and outstanding service. At the forefront of innovation and guest satisfaction, Marriott is dedicated to fostering a professional and vibrant work environment for its associates, emphasizing diversity, inclusivity, and career growth.

Within Marriott's extensive network, the Autograph Collection stands out as a prestigious assembly of four and five-star independent hotels, each carefully selected for their distinctive qualities, originality, and bold character. The Autograph Collection caters to "The Individualist"—travelers who seek more than just accommodation. These guests desire personalized, memorable experiences that reflect their unique sense of style and adventure. Joining this collection means becoming part of a brand that values creativity, guest satisfaction, and the celebration of cultural richness.

This full-time Server position, based in Newport Beach, CA, within the Lobby Lounge of an Autograph Collection property, embodies Marriott International's dedication to exemplary guest service. The role offers an hourly wage of $16.90 and includes eligibility for tips and service charge compensation. This position is perfect for candidates passionate about the food and beverage industry and hospitality, aiming to deliver exceptional service and create memorable dining experiences.

As a Server, you will be responsible for presenting and serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests professionally and courteously. Your duties include setting tables in line with event types and service standards, answering menu-related questions, and collaborating closely with kitchen staff to communicate any special requests such as dietary restrictions, allergies, and meal modifications. Accurate transaction recording using the MICROS system, guest satisfaction checks, maintaining clean work areas, and completing closing tasks are integral parts of your daily responsibilities.

Marriott International emphasizes adherence to safety and security protocols, professional appearance, confidentiality, and fostering positive relationships within the team and with guests. The role requires physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and the ability to move or handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance. Working in this role, you will contribute to the overall high standards that define the Autograph Collection and Marriott International brand.

This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to build or further their careers in hospitality within a globally respected company that values individuality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Marriott International's supportive environment encourages learning and development, ensuring that every associate has the tools needed to excel and deliver exceptional guest experiences consistently.
