This role invites enthusiastic and service-oriented individuals to join the team as servers. The servers at Spare Time Entertainment are integral to creating memorable guest experiences by adhering to the company's Steps of Service. Serving guests includes understanding the menu in detail to make thoughtful recommendations that enhance the dining and entertainment experience. Servers also promote the various features and upcoming events at the location, actively engaging with guests to ensure they are fully aware of all available entertainment options.
The position requires proactive guest engagement, including patrolling assigned sections to attend promptly to guest needs and resolve issues effectively. There is a strong emphasis on responsible alcohol service, requiring servers to rigorously check identification and monitor consumption in line with Spare Time Entertainment policies and legal standards. In some cases, servers assist with food preparation, all while strictly adhering to food safety and quality regulations.
Operational tasks are a key part of the role as well. This includes accurately handling transactions through the POS system, managing shift paperwork reliably and organized, and completing shift opening and closing duties. Maintenance of cleanliness and organization within the restaurant is essential, following preventative maintenance programs and complying with health codes at the local, state, and federal levels.
Servers assist in preparing dining areas by ensuring tables and seating are clean and orderly, restock products and equipment as needed, and communicate any inventory shortages to supervisors. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date certifications required by the state and those offered internally by Spare Time Entertainment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass a background check
- Certification in responsible alcohol service if required by state law
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Certification in responsible alcohol service is a plus
Job Duties
- Serve guests utilizing Spare Time Entertainment’s Steps of Service
- Demonstrate knowledge of the menu with the ability to make suggestions
- Promote knowledge of the location’s features and upcoming events
- Patrol assigned section to respond to guest’s needs and take action to correct any problems
- Always review guest’s identification and monitor alcohol consumption adhering strictly to Spare Time Entertainment policy state policy and law
- Help with food preparation when necessary
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations
- Assist with waste control
- Confidently operate the POS System making accurate transactions while ringing orders providing guests their bill collecting payments and making change
- Provide all required complimentary shift paperwork with settlement in a consistent and organized manner
- Complete shift opening and closing duties
- Observe and assist in preparing unoccupied tables for guests by wiping surface top removing debris and ensure seats are clean and orderly
- Maintain clean equipment and working areas by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs and in accordance with Local State and Federal Health Department Codes
- Keep products and areas organized and restocked as needed
- Communicate any inventory shortages to supervisor
- Maintain current certifications required by State and those offered by Spare Time Entertainment
