Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • One year or more of serving experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate
  • Food Handler's Card required or training provided
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent time management, organization, and customer service skills
  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of seniors within a CCRC community
  • Current COVID-19 vaccine preferred
  • Must possess physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform various physical activities including sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, pushing/pulling, and grasping with both hands

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year or more of serving experience preferred but not required
  • Valid Food Handler's Card or willingness to obtain one
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent time management, organization, and customer service skills
  • Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of older adults

Job Duties

  • Set and maintain clean, properly arranged tables with correct place settings
  • Serve meals promptly and accurately with a courteous, professional demeanor
  • Clear tables, clean dining areas, and reset for next service
  • Support service during special events and functions
  • Cultivate positive, respectful relationships with residents and guests in alignment with the community's high standards for care and service
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
  • Operate POS system with accuracy
  • Maintain a cheerful, helpful attitude at all times
