Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • One plus year of serving experience preferred but willing to train
  • Food handler's card required with training provided
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Excellent time management, organization, and customer service skills
  • Passion for positively impacting older adults within a CCRC community
  • Current COVID-19 vaccine preferred
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform various physical activities including standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Job Duties

  • Set and maintain clean, properly arranged tables with correct place settings
  • Serve meals promptly and accurately with a courteous, professional demeanor
  • Clear tables, clean dining areas, and reset for next service
  • Support service during special events and functions
  • Cultivate positive, respectful relationships with residents and guests in alignment with the community's high standards for care and service
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures
  • Operate POS system with accuracy
  • Maintain a cheerful, helpful attitude at all times
