Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED degree
  • At least 1 year of food service experience preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Fluent in English including reading, writing and speaking
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels
  • Commitment to working with geriatric residents
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments
  • Teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist cook and supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures
  • Deliver residents’ meal carts and set and clean assigned dining areas to serve residents
  • Accurately record temperatures on refrigerators and clean and stock as needed
  • Wash and store dishes adhering to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen
  • Follow federal, state, and community rules, regulations, policies and procedures
  • Set up dining area and trays for meal services following dietary restrictions
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout food service process
