The Server role at Forbici Modern Italian Restaurant is a vital position central to the guest experience. This role requires the server to engage professionally and warmly with guests, ensuring their dining experience is comfortable, enjoyable, and seamless from start to finish. The Server is responsible for positive guest interactions, providing attentive service, and upholding the restaurant's standards of hospitality. This position includes tasks such as greeting guests, presenting menus, making knowledgeable recommendations, taking and delivering orders accurately, and resolving any guest concerns promptly. Servers must maintain an awareness of the dining environment and work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and calm demeanor. The ideal candidate will bring at least 2-3 years of experience in a full-service restaurant setting and possess a deep passion for hospitality. Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in a server position at a full-service restaurant
  • Passion for creating memorable moments of hospitality
  • Strong communication skills to build trusting relationships with peers and guests
  • Able to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English
  • Excels in a team environment and viewed as a team player by all team members
  • Ability to stay positive and calm under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow
  • Professional understanding of classic cookery, wine, beer, and cocktails
  • Previous experience with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to balance and carry trays, multiple plates, glass racks and/or glasses
  • Sufficient mobility for reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull approximately 25lbs
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift
