The Server (Dining Room Care Manager) role at Sunrise Senior Living is an essential position in delivering outstanding dining experiences to residents. This full-time role is focused on providing dining and table services with a high standard of care in the community’s dining rooms and designated areas, adhering to Sunrise Senior Living’s established standards. The Server is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, assisting with training care managers, supporting special events, managing tabletop inventories, and ensuring compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations on the federal, state, and local levels.
This position enhances the residents’ dining experiences by offering exemplary hospitality and attentiveness to their needs, contributing to a warm and respectful atmosphere. The Server works collaboratively with the community team to uphold dining room decorum and etiquette, perform daily operational checklists, and support risk management policies to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and team members. This role is especially suitable for individuals with prior experience in fine dining hospitality or senior living service, and who are committed to executing food safety protocols, maintaining a positive attitude, and providing outstanding service with kindness and empathy.

Job Requirements
- Complete and pass drug test, tuberculosis test, physical evaluation, and background check where required
- Maintain Food Safety Certification within 90 days
- Maintain CPR, First Aid, and ServeSafe certifications as required
- Comply with all federal, state, and local food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to attend regular team meetings and trainings
- Ability to provide dining service training to care managers
- Adhere to safety and occupational health regulations and procedures
- Florida applicants must undergo Level 2 Background Screening
- Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination compliance as mandated
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of one year experience preferred in fine dining hospitality or full-service senior living
- Food Safety Certified within 90 days of employment
- CPR and First Aid certification
- ServeSafe certification
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Competent organizational and time management skills
Job Duties
- Provide support in the day-to-day operations of the dining room while maintaining a high quality, positive, and safe physical and social environment for residents and team members
- Provide dining service training to new care managers
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and assist residents with selections
- Take meal and beverage orders and serve requested items according to guidelines
- Perform dining room checklist inspections and maintain cleanliness and readiness
- Support dining room decorum and etiquette standards
- Complete opening and closing checklists and assist in tabletop inventories maintenance
