Arrow Senior Living is a reputable and caring organization that manages a diverse collection of senior living communities across five states, including Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana. With 25 properties and nearly 1,400 employees, Arrow Senior Living prides itself on providing varying levels of care such as independent living, assisted living, and memory care tailored to meet the unique needs of seniors. The company is recognized for its commitment to creating a home-like environment, not only for its residents but also for its team members. This commitment is reflected in the company’s core values, which emphasize quality of life, community, and respect for all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or handicap, consistent with state and federal law. Arrow Senior Living promotes an inclusive and supportive workplace culture where employee growth is nurtured through promotions from within, and employee appreciation, incentives, and benefits are prioritized.

The specific position available at the Rock Creek Senior Living community located in Ankeny, Iowa, is for a part-time Server. This role is integral in delivering an exceptional dining experience to residents, ensuring their comfort and enjoyment during meal times. As a Server, you will be a visible and active presence in the dining room, serving as a Host with the Most by greeting residents warmly and fostering connections among them. You are expected to engage socially with residents, create a positive atmosphere where residents feel welcomed and entertained, and maintain a clean, tidy environment throughout meal service. Responsibilities also include prepping dining areas, rolling silverware, and performing crucial tidying tasks such as bussing tables and sweeping floors to uphold the community's standards of cleanliness and order.

The position requires excellent communication skills with at least an 8th-grade proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to interact effectively with residents. The Server role demands a high level of physical activity involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Essential to the role is the ability to assist residents physically as needed, including helping with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as responding to falls. The starting hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $20.25, with shift schedules running Sunday through Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm, designed for those seeking part-time employment with meaningful community impact.

Working at Rock Creek Senior Living offers numerous benefits, including a company match 401(k) plan with a 100% match on the first 3%, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees, disability, life insurance, an employee assistance program, and tuition reimbursement for both full-time and part-time team members after 90 days of employment. Employees enjoy paid time off with accrual based on employment status, weekly employee recognition programs, employee referral programs, complimentary meals during shifts, daily pay options, and direct deposit facilities. This role represents an excellent opportunity for individuals who love to work in a community-oriented environment and seek to contribute positively to senior residents' quality of life while advancing their careers in senior living. Interested candidates are encouraged to connect via Facebook or the company website and reach out directly to the recruiter for more information or application assistance.
