The Crestone Senior Living, a community managed by Arrow Senior Living located in Olathe, Kansas, is seeking a full-time Server to join their dedicated team. The starting wage for this position ranges from $15 to $17 per hour, and the work schedule spans Sunday through Thursday, 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. This vital role is designed to enhance the dining experience and overall well-being of residents. The Server is expected to exhibit a blend of hospitality, preparation skills, and attentiveness, ensuring each meal service runs smoothly and residents feel valued and cared for.
This Server role, affectionately described with titles such as "Host with the Most," "Peppy Prepper," "Titan of Tidiness," and "Appetite Anthropologist," highlights the multifaceted responsibilities expected. From greeting residents warmly and fostering a welcoming atmosphere to meticulous preparation and cleanliness, this position plays a central role in the daily operation of the community's dining services. The Server also liaises with supervisors and wellness teams to observe and report on residents' dietary habits and changes, demonstrating a keen attentiveness to health and social cues. Physical activity is an inherent part of this position, as it requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as assisting residents with mobility needs.

Job Requirements
- must be at least sixteen years of age
- able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with at least 8th grade proficiency
- possess a positive and energetic attitude
- physically able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop all day
- capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds
- able to assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
- must be criminally cleared
Job Qualifications
- minimum age of 16 years
- proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English at an 8th grade level
- positive and energetic attitude towards residents
- physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
- capability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds
- ability to assist residents with mobility and post-fall support
- cleared criminal background check
Job Duties
- greet residents and make them feel welcome
- be present in the dining room and foster social connections
- prepare tables, salads, and table settings for meal service
- bus tables and maintain cleanliness of the dining environment
- communicate dietary concerns and appetite changes to supervisors and wellness team
- assist residents with sitting, standing, walking, and after falls
- ensure all meal service procedures comply with health and safety standards
