Arrow Senior Living is currently hiring part-time Servers at The Parkway Senior Living located in Blue Springs, Missouri. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with others and contributing to the well-being and enjoyment of senior residents. The current hourly wage ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour with a shift schedule from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 1:30 PM.

As a Server at The Parkway, you will play a vital role in enhancing the dining experience of residents by being attentive, friendly, and proactive. Responsibilities extend beyond serving food—you will greet and interact warmly with residents, help prepare dining spaces, and maintain cleanliness to create a welcoming and safe atmosphere. This job demands physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Employees are expected to assist residents with mobility challenges, including helping them sit, stand, and walk safely.

Job Requirements

  • At least sixteen years of age
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at minimum eighth grade proficiency
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift
  • Capability to frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility and post-fall support
  • Must be criminally cleared

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in customer service or food service is a plus
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English at a minimum eighth grade proficiency
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work with elderly residents
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Basic understanding of senior care needs and safety protocols
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome residents with warmth and enthusiasm
  • Prepare dining tables and food items in advance of meal service
  • Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables and sweeping floors
  • Assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking
  • Ensure safe environment by assisting residents after falls
  • Engage with residents to foster a friendly and interactive dining atmosphere
  • Collaborate with kitchen and care staff to provide seamless service
