Job Requirements

  • Food handler’s certification
  • Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Alcoholic beverage certification (TABC certificate)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one year of related experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work irregular and extended hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Capability to work in hot and cold conditions
  • Adherence to safety and emergency procedures
  • Professional appearance and conduct

  • Must be able to handle stress in a healthy and professional manner
  • Must be able to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner

Job Duties

  • Greet, receive and acknowledge members and guests in various dining outlets
  • Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
  • Make sure that children are in the appropriate type of seat and are safe and secure
  • Distribute food and wine menus
  • answer questions
  • Fill glasses with ice water and suggest menu items
  • Ensure that the correct account numbers and names are given for billing
  • Efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, offer suggestions on daily specials and wine selections
  • Place orders with the kitchen
  • inform cooks about any special cooking instructions
  • Observe guests to respond to any additional requests and to ensure member/guest satisfaction
  • Assemble food on tray
  • procure items from each station as necessary
  • Serve meals
  • place dishes by courses in front of each person
  • Time the service of each course for proper service flow
  • Check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction
  • replenish water and butter as necessary
  • Remove soiled dishes
  • clears tables after each course and resets them with appropriate silverware
  • Present dessert menus, suggest and serve dessert, coffee and after-dinner drinks
  • Verify accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and other charges on all checks

  • Keep the dining room and bus station areas clean
  • Clear, clean and reset tables that have been vacated
  • Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur

  • Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by the F&B Service Manager, F&B Director & Clubhouse Manager
  • Responsible for adhering to proper dress code and conducting yourself in a professional manner at all times
  • Consistently follow local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests
  • Follow procedures of food handler’s as set by the state of Texas
  • Enforce established rules, regulations and policies of the club
  • Assure that all safety, accident and emergency policies and procedures are in place and consistently followed
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
  • Make sure the work area both FOH and BOH is clean and stocked throughout the entire shift
  • Knowledge of Club menus in all dining outlets
  • Performs opening and closing duties as outlined
  • Communicate orders through the POS System to the kitchen and bar staff
  • Attend all training and staff meetings
  • Consistently learn members’ names and their special preferences
  • Work directly with the Director of Food & Beverage and perform any other tasks as directed
  • Complete other assignments made by the F&B Service Manager and Clubhouse Manager
