The Server role at TravelCenters of America is integral to the restaurant team and involves delivering friendly, accurate, and efficient service to all guests to ensure they leave better than when they arrived. Servers at TA are responsible for welcoming guests with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, accurately taking and processing orders via a point-of-sale (POS) system, and promoting daily specials. They also manage their workflow by prioritizing tasks to meet the needs of both the kitchen and the dining guests, maintain equipment according to operational standards, and adhere to strict food safety procedures. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- Basic knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems preferred
- Previous experience in food service preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
