Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Willingness to complete food safety training such as Serv Safe
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties

  • Perform cashier duties including handling money and operating computerized cash registers
  • Prepare, cook, and serve school lunch and a la carte food items
  • Assist the Head Cook with food preparation, cooking, clean-up, counter work, stock rotation, and storage
  • Complete Serv Safe food sanitation class and/or Food Service Managers Certification
  • Adhere to all Health Department and HACCP rules and regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, and staff
