The Server role at Eureka! is a crucial front-line position. As the first point of contact for guests, servers are responsible for creating memorable experiences by delivering personable, attentive, and efficient service. The role requires a warm and outgoing personality, a passion for the brand, and a deep understanding of the menu, including craft beers and whiskey selections. Servers operate in a fast-paced environment where quick foot speed, multitasking, and exceptional communication skills are essential.
This position reports directly to the General Manager and indirectly to other management staff, emphasizing a collaborative team approach. Servers must greet guests within specified time frames, take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, and ensure timely and correct delivery of items. They are expected to maintain cleanliness and organization of their work stations, handle payment transactions securely, and comply with all state and federal laws regarding alcohol service.
In addition to direct guest interaction, servers contribute to maintaining the restaurant’s overall ambience and operational flow by managing seating assistance, responding to phone inquiries, and executing opening and closing duties that include cleaning and food preparation. The physical demands of the job include standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and working with various equipment in an environment that may be loud, hot, or hectic at times.

- possession of TAM (Alcohol Awareness) card
- possession of Food Handler Safety Training card
- consistent attendance and punctuality
- compliance with employee handbook and training manuals

Job Duties
- Greet all guests within Eureka's time specifications and with a warm smile
- attend to the needs of all guests in a professional and courteous manner
- memorize Eureka's abbreviations and ticket writing procedures to write food and drink orders accurately
- efficiently operate the point-of-sale (POS) system
- maintain thorough knowledge of all menu and bar items to respond accurately to guest inquiries
- prepare and serve beverages according to time and quality standards
- bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant
- assist in seating guests and answering the telephone as needed
- perform appropriate opening and closing duties such as cleaning and food prep
- handle cash and credit card transactions following Eureka's procedures
- observe state and federal laws regarding the service of alcohol
