Job Duties
- Prepare dining area by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
- Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies to protect patrons and establishment
- Assist guests with menu selections by presenting menu, suggesting courses, explaining specialties, and answering food preparation questions
- Record guests' orders accurately and transmit them to the kitchen and bar, noting any special dietary needs
- Keep kitchen staff informed about meal timing and communicate with guests accordingly
- Serve orders by delivering food and beverages to guests and provide necessary accompaniments and condiments
- Respond promptly to additional guest needs by observing the dining process and inquiring about any requirements
- Maintain table settings by removing finished courses, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and addressing spills or special needs
- Handle payment transactions including totaling charges, issuing bills, accepting payments, and returning change or receipts
- Stay informed about current menu options, specialties, and any shortages
- Perform basic cleaning tasks as directed by management to maintain a clean dining environment
- Contribute to team efforts by supporting related tasks and upholding company standards
- Conclude guest dining experiences by acknowledging their choice of restaurant and inviting them to return
- Obtain and maintain New Mexico Alcohol Server Permit and Food Handler's Certificate
- Always maintain a safety-conscious approach as this is a safety-sensitive position.
