Job Requirements
- Proof of age to serve alcohol which may vary by state
- basic food handling training and any local or state mandated certification or food handler permit
- completion of safe alcohol service training
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays
- regular and consistent attendance
- physical ability to stand for extended periods bend kneel and lift up to 50 pounds
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- ability to adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- willingness to perform cross-training as needed
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic food handling training and certification where required
- completion of safe alcohol service training program
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to work in a team environment and independently
- strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse guests
- proficiency in basic math and cash handling
- ability to effectively converse and comprehend English
- energetic and friendly attitude
- ability to follow directions and respond with urgency
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- accurately records food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and reporting concerns
- verifies identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensures that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- consistently wipes down and sanitizes employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilizes personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapts to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitors safety and security issues and reports to management
- performs other work-related duties as assigned
