Job Requirements
- Proof of age to serve alcohol as per local laws
- completion of basic food handling training and any mandated health certification or food handlers permit
- completion of safe alcohol service training program
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- energetic and friendly attitude
- regular and consistent attendance
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift items up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced environment
- effective communication skills in English
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- adherence to personal protective equipment use
- sense of urgency in work responses
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic food handling training and certification as required by local or state regulation
- ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- prior experience in customer service or food and beverage service is an advantage
- strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse guests and team members
- cash handling and basic math skills
- ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- ability to follow directions promptly and accurately
- demonstrated commitment to excellent guest service
- willingness to cross-train in multiple roles
- knowledge of safe alcohol service practices
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including proper cash balance and correct ticket distribution
- verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitor safety and security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, and suspicious persons and report to management
- perform other work-related duties as assigned
