Job Requirements
- Proof of age to serve alcohol (18 or 21 depending on state laws)
- completion of basic food handling training and required certifications
- completion of safe alcohol service training
- availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- regular and consistent attendance
- energetic and friendly attitude
- excellent guest service skills
- accurate cash handling and math skills
- effective verbal and written communication in English
- ability to work in a team and independently
- ability to take and follow directions
- sense of urgency in responses
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic food handling training and any required local or state certifications
- completion of safe alcohol service training program
- strong communication skills including verbal and written English proficiency
- ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- interpersonal skills to communicate with all ages and personalities
- accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- energetic and friendly attitude during shifts
- ability to follow directions and respond with urgency
Job Duties
- Greet guests with a smile in a timely and professional manner
- possess full knowledge of bar and menu items in a fast-paced environment to enhance the guest experience
- accurately record food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner
- responsible for all transactions done on assigned register including cash balance and ticket distribution
- verify identification to confirm guests are at least 21 years of age for all alcohol transactions
- ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only
- consistently use suggestive selling techniques
- collaborate with kitchen team to ensure that food orders are accurate
- consistently wipe down and sanitize employee and guest high-contact areas
- properly utilize personal protective equipment while completing position specific tasks
- adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks
- monitor safety and security issues such as trip hazards and suspicious persons and report to management
- perform other work-related duties as assigned
