Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • physical capability to lift, carry, push weights up to 50 pounds frequently
  • able to bend, squat, twist, reach, and climb stairs regularly
  • strong command of English sufficient to read, write, and interpret administrative information
  • good hearing and vision with or without corrective lenses
  • ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments

Job Qualifications

  • Experience providing excellent customer service
  • a positive attitude and ability to work well with cooks and other staff
  • able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
  • ability to deliver orders in a timely manner
  • experience and credentials in creating/serving alcoholic beverages highly preferred

Job Duties

  • Supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision
  • take food and drink orders from residents and guests accurately and with a positive attitude
  • write resident or guest food orders on order slips
  • engage with residents in a friendly manner
  • knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions
  • ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
  • perform end of shift duties in dining and kitchen
  • assist food preparation staff when necessary
  • attend training courses and maintain up to date monthly, quarterly, and annual training through designated Learning Management System
  • other duties as assigned related to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of residents
