Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in hospitality or food and beverage service preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- must be 21 years or older as required by state law
- ability to comply with all state and federal alcohol service regulations
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
- must have basic math and cash handling skills
- ability to communicate clearly and courteously with guests and team members
Job Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- must communicate well with guests
- basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages
- basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register and understand portion sizes
- sufficient manual dexterity to use a knife, pick up glassware, scoop ice, mix drinks, and retrieve stock
- ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
- ability to operate a keyboard and point of sale system
- ability to stand and work in confined spaces
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- effective verbal and written communication skills
Job Duties
- Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis
- requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, and produce based on projections
- maintains stock, cuts, and stores all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and perishables daily
- greets guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- promotes and documents orders for drinks
- mixes, garnishes, and presents drinks using standard recipes and portion control
- abides by all state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- inputs orders into a register at point of sale and creates checks
- receives cash from guests, makes change, verifies charges, records charges, and ensures vouchers are properly executed
- locks and stores beverage, food and equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank
- complies with attendance rules and maintains regular availability
- performs other job-related duties as assigned
